The following is a copy of a petition that has been thoughtfully composed by former members to ask for an investigation of the Fellowship of Friends. Many who will choose to sign it feel a certain urgency to address the serious abuses that have occurred for 37 years under the direction of Robert Burton. Many devout and dedicated followers have turned a blind eye or manufactured justifications for these abuses, which may be typical of faith-based groups led by charismatics.
