Actor Jackie Shroff, who has worked in nearly 150 films and played diverse roles, now plays spiritual leader Sai Baba in a forthcoming movie. And he even quit smoking and drinking to get into the skin of the character.To get into the skin of that character, you're going to have to take it a few steps further than skipping a few vices, like indulging in a few sexually-abusive ones.
But it's likely to work out brilliantly for the Sai Baba org and their effort to redeem the thrashed reputation of their leader, who has been accused of playing with boys' wee-wees. His org takes a PR hit for its Mafia-like tendencies as well.
So you've embarked down a very dark road, Jackie, if you really do intend to play the real Sai Baba.
