I wonder why there's so little information on Ramana Maharshi's and Nisargadatta Maharaj's teachings on the internet. There's plenty of information on cults, gurus and their flim flam, scandals etc. Real Advaita requires that you find out for yourself. This also means discovering, exploring, and thinking for oneself. Looking for mystical sugar daddies and sugar mamas is not related to finding real Self Knowledge. A vast majority of these spiritual problems diisappear as one takes full responsibilty for their own "enlightenment"-- free of organizations, cultural dogma, and burnt out historical traditions.
For a full descrition of Nisargadatta's radical fresh approach to being, I recommend reading any of Stephan Wolinsky's books on Nsargadatta, Advaita, and Quantum Psychology. Anyone can grasp Advaita, and apply it to their lives with a decent effort.

The last sentence above kinda answers the question posed in the first, huh? That is, say you encounter Ramana Maharshi's teachings. It's all summed up in the practice of asking "What am I?" That's something you try for yourself, and find out for yourself.

So once you have that pointer, that direction, there's no need to read lots of books or websites about Ramana etc etc. Sure, if you're interested in the history of that old Indian guy, or if you find his transcribed talks entertaining or soothing, that's OK. But otherwise, once you've got the question, you can forget about Ramana.

Puzzled that you point to someone else.
If an aspirant wants to know all about Nisargadatta's "fresh approach to being" he should purchase himself a hard copy of I Am That, or he can google it and download the free pdf of the same work.

Start reading.

And start practising what she reads.

End of Story

Real Advaita is never gonna draw much of a crowd.
People think wow! there is this enlightenment and it will FIX ALL OF MY PROBLEMS! So they read and have peak experiences. They practice a little and have peak experiences and maybe they go to a retreat and have a day long peak experience... maybe they get really high and it takes them days, weeks, month, to flutter back down to earth. They get hooked! There is something there/here! Now if I can just make it last... granted it is is a real seductive notion! To live in a state of bliss. Shakti Om Peace meow meow meow...

Real Advaita will tell you that this wonderful "peak experience" isn't really anything to do with enlightenment. And with enlightenment you aren't going to get anything.  Not much of a best seller.
